Erratum

In the full-length manuscript entitled "Phosphorylation of Insulin-Like Growth Factor (IGF) Binding Protein-3 by Breast Cancer Cell Membranes Enhances IGF-I Binding" by Suresh Mishra and Liam J. Murphy (Endocrinology 144:4042–4050, 2003) the authors request that the following correction be noted. In Fig. 1A, an error may have occurred in the preparation of the figure. It now appears that this component of Fig. 1 may have been conducted with T47D cells enriched for IGFBP-3 membrane binding sites by panning rather than unenriched T47D cells, which were used for the rest of the experiments described in the manuscript using T47D cells. Because the only relevant difference between the enriched and unenriched T47D cells would be the abundance of the binding sites, this does not change significantly the interpretation of the data presented in the figure, the text of the manuscript, or our conclusions. In the interest of accuracy, the corrected Fig. 1 is presented below.
